Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE): Mitigating Vicarious Trauma
Thursday, October 24th, 11 am-1 pm
at Matrix Coworking
6302 Odana Rd, Madison WI 53719
Vicarious trauma is an inevitable part of working with vulnerable populations. Whether you are a social worker, therapist, teacher, or you are caring for children or aging parents, being exposed to others’ trauma takes a huge toll on your physical and emotional health. It also impacts your ability to provide quality services and take care of your loved ones.
TRE™ (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a series of simple exercises that remind the body of its natural ability to release tension and stress. This modality is for anyone who serves others, is seeking a natural and effective tool for reducing the impact of everyday stress on their mind and body, and wishes to increase their ability to facilitate healing for self and others. In addition to learning the exercises, participants will gain an understanding of the effects of vicarious trauma on the brain and body, and how connecting with the nervous system is an integral part of staying healthy.
Hurry! Registration will be capped at 12 participants to create a safe environment and facilitate healing and connection.
